Children Summer Camp – Velipoja

The summer school–camp is a project which started years ago. It takes place in Velipoja beach during summer for one month, usually July-August or June-July. The participants are Roma children Iliria-Tejbuna quarters and from remote areas such as Boge, Bratosh, Sheldi and Gomsiqe. These children are from families who live in extreme poverty, or children who are abandoned or do not regularly attend school.

During this period children are divided in three shifts, ten days each and MNSH volunteers conduct the activities there. Every day the children actively follow the education-entertainment program.

The project aims to integrate the Roma children and those coming from remote areas to social life since these categories are completely excluded, to increase the education level of the participants and to give them possibility of active holidays since they miss because of economic and social reasons.   

The summer camp-school is build up with tends by MNSH volunteers. Malteser volunteers assist to meet the program according to schedule of activities. The volunteers facilitate Camp activity by giving a hand in cleaning, systemizing and maintaining the logistics, in providing different services and take care of security of the children. Under the guidance of the medical doctor, the volunteers conduct topics related to hygienic education and basic knowledge on First Aid. Three instructors with a long experience in education and other related issues, as foreseen in the program of activities, are involved and facilitate successful completion of Summer Camp. Thus the children find themselves involved in activities without leaving pleasure apart. They enjoy and learn at the same time.

Kampi veror i fëmijëve – Velipojë

Shkolla – kampi veror për fëmijë është një projekt i cili ka filluar para shumë vitesh. Zhvillohet në plazhin e Velipojës për një muaj zakonisht Korrik – Gusht apo Qershor – Korrik. Pjesëmarrësit janë fëmijë Rom të lagjeve Trejbunë dhe Iliria dhe të zonave të thella malore si  Boge, Bratosh, Sheldi dhe Gomsiqe. Këta fëmijë i përkasin familjeve që jetojnë në varfëri të madhe, janë të braktisur apo nuk shkojnë rregullisht në shkollë.

Gjatë kësaj kohe fëmijët ndahen në tri grupe, nga dhjetë ditë dhe aktivitetet drejtohen nga vullnetarët e MNSH. Çdo ditë fëmijët ndjekin programet mësimore dhe edukuese.

Projekti ka për qëllim që t’i integrojë fëmijët Romë dhe ata që vijnë nga zonat e thella në jetën shoqërore meqë këto grupe janë krejt të përjashtuara, të rrisin nivelin arsimor dhe t’u japë atyre mundësinë për të bërë pushime verore pasi ato nuk mund të bëjnë pushime me familjarët e tyre për shkak të arsye ekonomike dhe sociale.

Shkolla – kampi veror është ngritur me tenda nga vullnetarët e MNSH, të cilët përmbushim programin sipas skemës së aktiviteteve. Vullnetarët lehtësojnë aktivitetet e kampit duke ndihmuar në pastrim, sistemimin dhe mirëmbajtjen e logjistikës, në ofrimin e shërbimit dhe të kujdesit të fëmijëve. Nën drejtimin e mjekut, vullnetarët drejtojnë tema të lidhura me edukimin higjenik dhe mësime bazë të Ndihmës së Parë. Fëmijët gjenden të përfshirë në aktivitete duke ndier edhe kënaqësi. Ata kënaqen dhe mësojnë në të njëjtën kohë.
