In 2006, MNSH has built a Rapid Intervention Team serving in Civil Protection 24 hours a day, which can be activated only in 15 minutes after a notice on any emergency situation.  This structure is compound by 6-8 volunteers, (nurses and paramedics) which are also very well trained in nearly all aspects of civil emergencies.

Malteser takes part as member in the Committee of Civil Protection at Prefecture of Shkodër.

In many catastrophes happened in the North Albania, MNSH has played an important role giving a considerable contribution in saving lives and supporting population.

During last years, MNSH has done:

·        Reconstructing houses of Roma population during the flood 2002, 2003

·        Supporting with medicaments and other materials to the Roma population located near the river Drin in Lezha.

·        Intervention in Vig-Mnele area with medical visits and delivering necessary medicine.

·        Cleaning and disinfection of drinking water in Torovicë, Lezha.

·        Supporting of population in Korça after the earthquake,

·        Supporting Pult dhe Temal population with medicaments and medical visits, as well as donating emergency medicine for the area isolated by snow.

·        Delivering aid materials for quarter Marlulaj, in the villages Guri i Zi, Oblikë during flood.

On December 17, 2006 after a request from Prefect of Shkodra, MNSH CP team was involved in another emergency situation in Shëngjin, Prefecture of Lezha.     MNSH was the only Albanian NGO was requested to participate in this emergency!

Even during year 2007 MNSH CP has been present in catastrophes, such as the emergency situation, the terrible car accident in Dukagjin, where 12 people of different ages lost their lives.

Mbrojtja Civile

Ne vitin 2006 struktura e MNSH kane ngritur skuadrën e Ndërhyrjes se Shpejte ne fushën e Mbrojtjes Civile e cila është 24 ore ne dispozicion dhe mund te aktivizohet vetëm për 15-min ne një rast emergjent.

Kjo strukture përbehet nga infermier dhe paramedike, te cilët gjithashtu janë shume mire te trajnuar ne te gjitha aspektet e Mbrojtjes Civile.

MNSH është anëtare e Komitetit te Shpëtimit te Mbrojtjes Civile te Prefekturës se Shkodrës.

Ne shume katastrofa qe kane ndodhur ne veriun e Shqipërisë MNSH ka luajtur një rol te rendesishem duke e dhëne kontribut te konsiderueshëm ne shpëtimin e jetëve dhe mbështetjen e popullatës.

Gjate viteve te kaluara, MNSH ka realizuar:

·        Riparim i shtëpive te komunitetit Rom gjate përmbytjeve 2002-2003

·        Mbështetje për komunitetin Rom me medikamente dhe materiale te tjera, banues pranë lumit Drin, Lezhe.

·        Ndërhyrje ne zonën Vig-Mnele, vizita mjekësore dhe shpërndarje te medikamenteve baze.

·        Pastrim dhe disinfektim i ujit te pijshëm ne zonën e Torovices, Lezhe.

·        Mbështetje te komunitetit te Korces pas tërmetit.

• Mbështetje te komunitetit Pult dhe Temal me medikamentet baze dhe vizita mjekësore falas, gjithashtu janë dhuruar dhe medikamente te urgjencës për zonat e rrethuara nga dëbora
• Shpërndarje e ndihmave në materiale për lagjen Marlulaj dhe Gurin e Zi, Oblike gjate përmbytjeve.

Me 17-Dhjetor, 2006 me kërkesë te Prefektures se Shkodrës, skuadra e Ndërhyrjes se Shpejte është përfshire ne një tjetër situate emergjente ne Shëngjin, Prefektura e Lezhës. MNSH ishte e vetmja OJF ne Shqipëri qe i është kërkuar te kontribuoje ne ketë situate emergjente.

Edhe gjate vitit 2007 skuadra e MNSH-se ka qene prezent ne raste katastrofa, siç ishte situata emergjente e shkaktuar nga aksidenti automobilistik ne rrugën e  Dukagjinit ku 12 persona te moshave te ndryshme humben jetën.
