As it is often mentioned, the Roma community suffers from a low level of civil engagement, in particular in the election process. They still suffer from a profound delusion that democracy, as practiced in Albania today, doesn’t allow them to elect the representatives of their choice to follow a specific policy, and on the other hand candidates and political parties do not keep their promises.

The MNSH objective is to raise participation of Roma population in the election process, to make them aware that they could use their right to vote for prospering their community and families, and to make them think about ways of solving their problems.

In these conditions the biggest challenge is to ensure participation of Roma during the election campaign. MNSH worked out the project which aimed to persuade voters how important it is for their voice to be heard and to work to increase voters' responsible attitudes and awareness in order to guarantee participation in election. 

The objective of the campaign is to inform the Roma population in Shkodra and Lezha what rights they have, and to increase their participation in election on the Election Process. 

Parts of the objective are:

-Informing Roma voters in Tejbuna, Liria quarter (Shkodra) and Lezha on their rights and voting procedures;

-Explaining about democracy elements through voting process;

-Rising awareness on importance of participation and involvement.

Through groups of trained and well organized volunteers, MNSH carry out an informative campaign which aim to inform the Roma about the rights they have during elections and what are the profits of participating in the election process.

Roma voters are informed about rights they have and voting procedures and the majority of Roma population who has the rights to vote participates in the elections.

Siç është theksuar shpesh, komuniteti Rom vuan nga një nivel i ulët i përfshirjes qytetare, në veçanti në lidhje me votimet. Ata vuajnë nga një zhgënjim i thellë ofruar në vitet e demokracisë, pasi ata nuk lejohen të zgjedhin përfaqësuesit sipas zgjedhjes së tyre dhe nga ana tjetër kandidatët nuk i mbajnë premtimet e tyre.  

Objektivi i MNSH është që të rrisë pjesëmarrjen e popullsisë Rome në procesin elektoral, t’i bëjë të vetëdijshëm që kanë të drejtë ta përdorin votën e tyre për prosperitetin e komunitetit dhe të familjeve të tyre, dhe t’i bëjnë që të mendojnë për mënyrat e zgjidhjes së problemeve të tyre.

Në këto kushte sfida më e madhe është që të sigurojë pjesëmarrjen e Romëve gjatë fushatës së zgjedhjeve. MNSH ka punuar me këtë projekt me qëllim që të bindë votuesit se sa e rëndësishme është që të dëgjohet zëri i tyre dhe të punojnë që të rrisin përgjegjësinë e votuesve për  të marrë pjesë në zgjedhje.

Qëllimi i fushatës është që të informojë popullsinë Rome në Shkodër dhe Lezhë mbi të drejtat që ata kanë dhe të rrisin pjesëmarrjen e tyre në Procesin e zgjedhjeve.

Pjesë të objektivit janë:  

-Të informojnë votuesit Rom në lagjet Tejbunë, Liria (Shkodra) dhe Lezhë mbi të drejtat dhe procedurat e votimit;

-T’u shpjegojnë elementët e demokracisë përmes procesit të votimit;

-Të rrisin vetëdijen mbi rëndësinë e pjesëmarrjes dhe të përfshirjes.

Përmes grupeve të vullnetarëve të trajnuar dhe të organizuar mirë, MNSH drejton një fushatë informuese që ka për qëllim të informojë Romët mbi të drejtat që ata kanë gjatë zgjedhjeve dhe cilat janë përfitimet e pjesëmarrjes në procesin e zgjedhjeve.

Votuesit Rom informohet për të drejtat që kanë dhe për procedurat e votimit dhe pjesa më e madhe që ka të drejtë të votojë merr pjesë në zgjedhje.
