Mountains Project

The main project of MNSH is Mountains Project. It started since with the foundation of MNSH because of mountain zones necessity for medical service. In 1993 the state medical structures were not able to offer basic medical service in Vermosh, Vukel, Kozhnje, Muriq, Selcë, Rapsh, Karmë, Gomsiqe, Bogë, Bratosh, and Sheldi villages. These extremely poor zones hadn’t doctors to visit their people, no pharmacy, no ambulatory space as well as money to buy medicine. They made transportations of ill persons to Hospitals in Shkodër and Malësi e Madhe with civil vehicles rarely drove in those villages or by foot walking many hours to destination.

The project is run in four mountain villages, Bogë, Bratosh, Sheldi and Gomsiqe with about 5 thousand inhabitants, which still lack the state medical service. The mountain roads are still in bad conditions and this brings difficulties in delivering the service by state. According to the action plan of the project, the MNSH medical team, a very well equipped one, covers and tries to improve the base health service, giving medical assistance in these zones, including medical visits, appropriate therapies, emergencies transportation in the nearest specialized center, and also giving knowledge on health education training for local population.

      We started to give more importance of the work with the community in the direction of specific themes in Health Education that, we think, just gave and will give results in decreasing the rate of specific diseases.

Projekti i Maleve

  Projekti kryesor i MNSH është Projekti i Maleve. Ka filluar që me themelimin e MNSH, për shkak të nevojës së zonave malore për shërbim mjekësor. Më 1993 strukturat mjekësore të shtetit nuk ishin të afta që të ofronin shërbimin mjekësor bazë në fshatrat Vermosh, Vukel, Kozhnje, Muriq, Selcë, Rapsh, Karmë, Gomsiqe, Bogë, Bratosh, and Sheldi. Këto zona krejtësisht të varfra nuk kishin mjekë që të vizitonin, nuk kishte farmaci, hapësirë ambulatore dhe as parà për të blerë ilaçe. Ata bënin transportin e të sëmurëve në spitalet në Shkodër dhe Malësi e Madhe me makina që kalonin shumë rrallë në këto fshatra apo në këmbë duke ecur për shumë orë deri në vendin e caktuar.

Projekti vepron në katër fshatra malorë, Bogë, Bratosh, Sheldi dhe Gomsiqe me rreth 5 mijë banorë, të cilët akoma e ndiejnë mungesën e shërbimit mjekësor të shtetit. Rrugët e maleve janë akoma në kushte të këqija dhe kjo gjë sjell vështirësi në ofrimin e shërbimit nga shteti. Sipas planit të veprimit të skuadrës mjekësore, i cili është mjaft i pajisur, MNSH mbulon dhe përpiqet të përmirësojë shërbimin mjekësor bazë, duke ofruar ndihmë në këto zona, duke përfshirë vizitat mjekësore, terapitë e përshtatshme, transportet urgjente për në qendrat më të afërta të specializuara dhe gjithashtu edhe ofron trajnime të popullsisë lokale mbi edukimin shëndetësor.

Kemi filluar t’i japim më shumë rëndësi punës me komunitetin mbi disa tema specifike në fushën e Edukimit Shëndetësor që, mendojmë, se ka dhënë dhe do të japë rezultate të mëtejshme në uljen e përqindjes së sëmundjeve specifike.
