1. MALTESER HELPS IN ALBANIA - BACKGROUND

 MNSH, “Malteser Ndihmon nė Shqipėri” is a humanitarian NGO that has been working in Northern Albania since 1995. Malteser is supported by the German sister organization “Malteser Hilfsdienst”. 

Its mission is to help people in need without prejudice. One of the most important parts of Malteser activities is the volunteer work. MNSH has about 150 active members that offer their help voluntary.

Since 1995 Malteser has been working extensively in the poor communities in the northern region of Albania (mountain zones in Shkodėr and Malėsi e Madhe). It has been providing regular medical services: medical visits, needed therapy, transports of ill persons, medical consulting by specialist physicians, and Health Education courses to people. It has been training traffic police, officers and fire brigade fighters in first aid in Shkodėr, Pukė, Kukės and Elbasan in Kukesperienced organization in medical service delivering service since in 1995. Its. 

          Since September 2000 and ongoing, Malteser has been working in the project “One step forward for the integration of Roma community in our society”, which is focused on Roma population, living in the outskirts of Shkodra. Our work has been concentrated in social, medical, juridical field, and the target groups of the project have been mainly Roma women and children.

 

Malteser Helps in Albania very-well knows organization in realising Health Education projects. MNSH has experts which are specialised to train in First Aid subjects.

In 2002 we have realised a First Aid project in cooperation with COSPE, where have been trained pupils of the schools in the villages Gur i Zi, Rragam dhe Zadrimė.

 

In 2006 we realised a pilot-project with OSCE, our experts have trained police, officers and fire brigade fire fighters in First Aid in Shkodėr, Malėsi e Madhe, Puke, Kukės and Lezhė. in Kukesperienced organization in medical service delivering service since in 1995. Itsand Lezhe

 

In 2007, in cooperation with OSCE are trained traffic police of Dibėr, Shkodėr, Lezhė, Elbasan.

2. REPORT SUMMARY

 

“Malteser Ndihmon nė Shqipėri” (MNSH) is an experienced organization in Health Education. in Kukesperienced organization in medical service delivering service since in 1995. Its As a continuity of our educational activities organized by MNSH and according to the agreement with the Ministry of Education, date 09/03/2007, prot. nr 12/07, last year (2007) we have organized First Aid training courses for pupils and students in three schools (Branko Kadia elementary school, Jordan Misja High School in Shkodėr, and Kolin Gjoka High School in Lezha).These schools have been selected by the Head of Education Department of Shkodra and Lezha.

The training has covered completely first-aid subjects. The module was similar with the same held in European Union countries.

Our courses were developed according to schedule started from April 2007. There were 69 pupils from Branko Kadia School, 59 students from Jordan Misja School, 52 students from Kolin Gjoka School. The training consisted in 8 hours per person and the final exam.

We have selected 28 students and pupils with best results, and during September-October they have been trained as First Aid Group.

After this training we have chosen 10 of them who have been trained as First Aid multipliers in February of 2008.

At the end of First Aid course, the participants passed through a final exam. Everyone who successfully finished the program has received the certificate of training signed by the Regional Educational Directory of Education of Lezha and Shkodra and Malteser Helps in Albania.

 

 

   

3. Project objectives

    The training intended to provide the knowledge of First Aid for pupils and students in three schools.

·        To train as First Aid Group the students and pupils that have received the best results.

 

                                              

 

4. Project Results

 

·        The pupils and students are capable to provide basic first-aid to victims of accidents, thus stabilizing their health status until medical personnel arrives.

 

·        First Aid certificate deliverTwo Malteser trainers have delivered the training to 111 students and 69 pupils.

 

·        Participants took part in eight hours of training and in the practical final exam. 15% of them did not pass the exam.

 

·        MNSH has identified the best participants and has trained 28 students and pupils as First Aid Group. In February 2008, 10 students have been trained as Multiplier of First Aid subjects.

Kėto shkolla janė pėrzgjedhur nga Kryetari i Drejtorisė Arsimore tė Shkodrės dhe Lezhės.

Kurset e zhvilluara kanė pėrfshirė tė gjithė temat e Ndihmės sė Parė. Modulet janė tė njėjtė me ato qė zhvillohen nė vendet e Bashkimit Evropian.

Kurset janė realizuar sipas kalendarit duke filluar nė prill 2007. Janė trajnuar 69 nxėnės nga shkolla 9-vjeēare Branko Kadia, 59 studentė nga shkolla e mesme Jordan Misja, dhe 52 studentė nga shkolla e mesme Kolin Gjoka. Trajnimi ka zgjatur 8 orė pėr person dhe  ėshtė finalizuar me dhėnien e provimit.

Kemi pėrzgjedhur 28 nxėnės dhe studentė me rezultatet mė tė mira, dhe gjatė muajve shtator-tetor ata janė trajnuar si Grup i Shėrbimit tė Ndihmės sė Parė.

Pas kėtij trajnimi kemi pėrzgjedhur 10 nxėnės, tė cilėt janė trajniar si Multiplikatorė tė dhėnies sė leksioneve tė Ndihmės se Parė, nė shkurt 2008.

Nė mbarim tė kursit tė Ndihmės sė Parė, pjesėmarrėsit kanė marrė pjesė nė provim. Ata qė kanė kaluar testin janė pajisur me certifikatė tė nėnshkruar nga Drejtoritė Rajonale tė Arsimit nė Lezhė e Shkodėr dhe Malteser Ndihmon nė Shqipėri.

                 

 

                                             Objektivat e projektit

 

·        Qėllimi i trajnimit ishte qė t’u siguronte informacionin bazė mbi Ndihmėn e Parė nxėnėsve tė tri shkollave.

·        Trajnimi i nxėnėsve qė kanė marrė pikėt maksimale, si grup i Shėrbimit tė Ndihmės sė Parė.

 

 

 

 


    

 

Rezultatet e Projektit

 

·        Nxėnėsit janė tė aftė tė japin ndihmėn e parė njerėzve nė nevojė deri nė momentin e mbėrritjes sė personelit tė specializuar.

·        Dy multiplikatorė (vullnetarė) kanė realizuar  trajnimin e 111 studentėve dhe 69 nxėnėsve.

·        Pjesėmarrėsit kanė marrė pjesė nė 8 orė trajnimi dhe nė provimin pėrfundimtar,  15% e tyre nuk e kaluan provimin.

·        MNSH ka identifikuar nxėnėsit mė tė mirė dhe ka trajnuar 28 nxėnės dhe studentė si grup i Shėrbimit tė Ndihmės sė Parė. Nė shkurt 2008, 10 studentėt mė tė mirė janė trajnuar si multiplikatorė tė dhėnies sė Ndihmės sė parė.
