1. MALTESER HELPS IN ALBANIA - BACKGROUND

 MNSH, “Malteser Ndihmon në Shqipëri” is a humanitarian NGO that has been working in Northern Albania since 1995. Malteser is supported by the German sister organization “Malteser Hilfsdienst”. 

Its mission is to help people in need without prejudice. One of the most important parts of Malteser activities is the volunteer work. MNSH has about 150 active members that offer their help voluntary.

Since 1995 Malteser has been working extensively in the poor communities in the northern region of Albania (mountain zones in Shkodër and Malësi e Madhe). It has been providing regular medical services: medical visits, needed therapy, transports of ill persons, medical consulting by specialist physicians, and Health Education courses to people. It has been training traffic police, officers and fire brigade fighters in first aid in Shkodër, Pukë, Kukës and Elbasan in Kukesperienced organization in medical service delivering service since in 1995. Its. 

          Since September 2000 and ongoing, Malteser has been working in the project “One step forward for the integration of Roma community in our society”, which is focused on Roma population, living in the outskirts of Shkodra. Our work has been concentrated in social, medical, juridical field, and the target groups of the project have been mainly Roma women and children.

Malteser Helps in Albania very-well knows organization in realising Health Education projects. MNSH has experts which are specialised to train in First Aid subjects.

In 2002 we have realised a First Aid project in cooperation with COSPE, where have been trained pupils of the schools in the villages Gur i Zi, Rragam dhe Zadrimë.

In 2006 we realised a pilot-project with OSCE, our experts have trained police, officers and fire brigade fire fighters in First Aid in Shkodër, Malësi e Madhe, Puke, Kukës and Lezhë. in Kukesperienced organization in medical service delivering service since in 1995. Itsand Lezhe

2. REPORT SUMMARY

“Malteser Ndihmon në Shqipëri” (MNSH) is an experienced organization in Health Education. in Kukesperienced organization in medical service delivering service since in 1995. Its As a continuity of our educational activities organized by MNSH and according to the agreement with the Ministry of Education, date 09/03/2007, prot. nr 12/07, last year (2007) we have organized First Aid training courses for pupils and students in three schools (Branko Kadia elementary school, Jordan Misja High School in Shkodër, and Kolin Gjoka High School in Lezha).These schools have been selected by the Head of Education Department of Shkodra and Lezha.

The training has covered completely first-aid subjects. The module was similar with the same held in European Union countries.

Our courses were developed according to schedule started from April 2007. There were 69 pupils from Branko Kadia School, 59 students from Jordan Misja School, 52 students from Kolin Gjoka School. The training consisted in 8 hours per person and the final exam.

We have selected 28 students and pupils with best results, and during September-October they have been trained as First Aid Group.

After this training we have chosen 10 of them who have been trained as First Aid multipliers in February of 2008.

At the end of First Aid course, the participants passed through a final exam. Everyone who successfully finished the program has received the certificate of training signed by the Regional Educational Directory of Education of Lezha and Shkodra and Malteser Helps in Albania.

3. Project objectives

    The training intended to provide the knowledge of First Aid for pupils and students in three schools.

·        To train as First Aid Group the students and pupils that have received the best results.

4. Project Results

·        The pupils and students are capable to provide basic first-aid to victims of accidents, thus stabilizing their health status until medical personnel arrives.

·        Two Malteser trainers have delivered the training to 111 students and 69 pupils.

·        Participants took part in eight hours of training and in the practical final exam. 15% of them did not pass the exam.

·        MNSH has identified the best participants and has trained 28 students and pupils as First Aid Group. In February 2008, 10 students have been trained as Multiplier of First Aid subjects.

5. Monitoring

·        The project was monitored directly by the main office of MNSH

·        The implementation of the project was monitored by a teacher of respective schools and MNSH-coordinator.

   Projekti i trajnimit të nxënësve të shkollave mbi ndihmën e parë

“Malteser Ndihmon në Shqipëri” (MNSH), është një organizatë me eksperience në fushën e Edukimit Shëndetësor. in Kukesperienced organization in medical service delivering service since in 1995. Its Në vazhdën e aktiviteteve shkolluese të organizuara nga MNSH dhe në bazë të marrëveshjes me Ministrinë e Arsimit, datë 09/03/2007, nr. prot. 12/07, vitin e kaluar (2007) kemi organizuar kurset e trajnimit të Ndihmës së Parë për nxënësit dhe studentët në tri shkolla (në shkollën 9-vjeçare Branko Kadia, shkolla e mesme Jordan Misja në Shkodër dhe në shkollën e mesme Kolin Gjoka, Lezhë). Këto shkolla janë përzgjedhur nga Kryetari i Drejtorisë Arsimore të Shkodrës dhe Lezhës.

Kurset e zhvilluara kanë përfshirë të gjithë temat e Ndihmës së Parë. Modulet janë të njëjtë me ato që zhvillohen në vendet e Bashkimit Evropian.

Kurset janë realizuar sipas kalendarit duke filluar në prill 2007. Janë trajnuar 69 nxënës nga shkolla 9-vjeçare Branko Kadia, 59 studentë nga shkolla e mesme Jordan Misja, dhe 52 studentë nga shkolla e mesme Kolin Gjoka. Trajnimi ka zgjatur 8 orë për person dhe  është finalizuar me dhënien e provimit.

Kemi përzgjedhur 28 nxënës dhe studentë me rezultatet më të mira, dhe gjatë muajve shtator-tetor ata janë trajnuar si Grup i Shërbimit të Ndihmës së Parë.

Pas këtij trajnimi kemi përzgjedhur 10 nxënës, të cilët janë trajniar si Multiplikatorë të dhënies së leksioneve të Ndihmës se Parë, në shkurt 2008.

Në mbarim të kursit të Ndihmës së Parë, pjesëmarrësit kanë marrë pjesë në provim. Ata që kanë kaluar testin janë pajisur me certifikatë të nënshkruar nga Drejtoritë Rajonale të Arsimit në Lezhë e Shkodër dhe Malteser Ndihmon në Shqipëri.

                                             Objektivat e projektit

·        Qëllimi i trajnimit ishte që t’u siguronte informacionin bazë mbi Ndihmën e Parë nxënësve të tri shkollave.

·        Trajnimi i nxënësve që kanë marrë pikët maksimale, si grup i Shërbimit të Ndihmës së Parë.

Rezultatet e Projektit

·        Nxënësit janë të aftë të japin ndihmën e parë njerëzve në nevojë deri në momentin e mbërritjes së personelit të specializuar.

·        Dy multiplikatorë (vullnetarë) kanë realizuar  trajnimin e 111 studentëve dhe 69 nxënësve.

·        Pjesëmarrësit kanë marrë pjesë në 8 orë trajnimi dhe në provimin përfundimtar,  15% e tyre nuk e kaluan provimin.

·        MNSH ka identifikuar nxënësit më të mirë dhe ka trajnuar 28 nxënës dhe studentë si grup i Shërbimit të Ndihmës së Parë. Në shkurt 2008, 10 studentët më të mirë janë trajnuar si multiplikatorë të dhënies së Ndihmës së parë.

Monitorimi

·        Projekti është monitoruar direkt nga zyra kryesore e MNSH-së.

·        Zbatimi i projektit është monitoruar nga një mësues për secilën shkollë dhe koordinatori i projektit.
